The struggle of workers with disabilities in the face of the capitalist crisis
Keywords:

This essay aims to reflect on the effects of the advance of outsourcing, labour counter-reforms and uberisation in the context of the structural crisis of capital and the advance of neoliberal policies, and their connection with the barriers to the right to safe and healthy work for people with disabilities (PWDs). These transformations in the world of work represent a direct attack on the rights acquired by workers with disabilities, since the growth of outsourcing, plataformisation and the dismantling of supervisory institutions has led to a lack of respect for legislation, the fragmentation of class organisations, the creation of precarious working relationships and an increase in unemployment, increasingly affecting workers with disabilities, who are increasingly being pushed into informal jobs and/or unemployment.
