Abstract

The study aims to evaluate the development of a NASF team in the city of Recife-PE. This is an evaluative study, with a qualitative focus, based on the realistic evaluation. It was carried out the identification and analysis of the contexts, mechanisms and results produced by a NASF team. The research began with the formulation of the initial theory of intervention, based on documentary research and workshops with informers of the program, followed by focus groups with professionals, a Family Health team supported and users of the territory, as well as semi-structured interviews with program managers at the district and municipal levels. We identified 13 contexts, 7 mechanisms and 4 results that together interact producing 6 Context-Mechanism-Standard result. The NASF team evaluated produces a dual profile that shares the technical-pedagogical aspect in concomitance with the clinical-assistance aspect. This duality produces results that together mean a higher resolution of the AB, however, it is observed, at certain moments, the production of an outpatient logic in its work with AB and the users in the territory. The identification of the elements and their interactions are fundamental for the sustainability and dissemination of this intervention in the Brazilian context.
